When they decided to start writing songs for "A Little Voodoo," Jen, Eric, and Dwayne made a plan. The three of them alternated hosting weekly song writing meetings at each of their houses. Whoever was the host for that week was required to have a new song, and the others would bring whatever they had prepared, whether it be revisions to one they had started, or a brand new tune. By the time they were done, they had 50 songs from which to choose for the new album. 17 songs made it onto a demo disc and 10 made the final cut. Brett and Paul contributed their share as well once the songs got into the rehearsal and arrangement phase in the studio.

Music: J. Nobel; Lyrics: D. Keith, J. Nobel

When GEG was choosing songs for "A Little Voodoo" they started with a list 50 songs. Jennifer Nobel had written only four of the 50. Three of them made it onto the album. This song was also chosen to be in one of the final Dawson's Creek episodes ( Episode #619, "Lovelines").

Oh No was produced by Jerry Marotta in Woodstock, NY.

oh no, better not look now,
complications are creeping up fast
some sense of security,
both of us know that it never lasts
about time we figured something out
about time we triedÖyeah
sit tight, express your fright,
your redemption, lost on the way
push hard to the breaking point,
leave the wreckage slowly to drain
about time we filtered something out
about time we tried
if you looked in, to where itís sleeping
youíd see the difference for yourself
you know what to say, and what you should do
a little voodoo, do what you need to
you better keep it to yourself
oh no, better not look now,
indications are pointing to rain,
eyes see, what they want to see,
imitations, lessen the strain
about time we came to come about
about time we tried
but if you looked in, to where itís sleeping
youíd see the difference for yourself
you know what to say, and what you should do
a little voodoo, you know you need to

you gonna keep it to yourself
iíve stared in fascination
how it grabs me
with a repeating consequence
some things fall over even when
nobodyís home and you find
you hesitate
say you must be going
don't ask me, you're already gone
oh no, better not look now, this is falling apart
if you looked in, to where itís sleeping
youíd see the difference for yourself
you know what to say, and what you should do
a little voodoo, makes you want to
you better keep it to yourself
if you looked in where itís sleeping
you better keep it to yourself, to yourself
youíre gonna keep it to yourself
oh no, better not look now
this is falling apart
